New Soap

I mentioned awhile back that I would be totally changing my recipe and look of my soap. Well I did and I love it. I added palm and castor oils, more essential oils for smell and a whiter look. I also changed the shape so thats is a square and can fit in half pint jars. My cousin told me once thats what she used for soap holders and me being the jar lover that I am, I decided that was a perfect way!
Lavender with dried calendula. Calendula is super good for your skin and promotes healing of wounds, burns, tissue and softens and soothes dry chapped skin. (see also the benefits under the link) I am going to be making a calendula infusion to use in my chapstick also. Expect to see a lot of calendula around here. (also know as pot marigold) I will be using a lot more herbs and herbal infusions in my soaps. Comfrey is next.

Almond Oatmeal. This also has calendula along with ground organic oatmeal for exfoliating properties. I use extract of almond which is also very nourishing for skin. The goal is to balance the ph of your skin and theres many herbs and oils out there that are so good for this. So that is the new soap. Hopefully it will be even better. So far I am sure of it!

Also available are custom orders for citronella hanging jar lanterns. I have these hanging all over my backyard, they are the wide mouth pint size and are half filled with soy wax  made with citronella to keep the pesky skeeters away. These will be made to order and are $10 a piece.

Also there is a new scent in the soy candles called montana spring and it is awesome. A new favorite. I have a  limited supply of it.

also ordered in some old fashioned looking zinc lids. They will be a $2 extra per jar, but man are they cool.

P.S. Next soap to be poured is Hempsters Delight made with hemp seed oil which is one of the mose effective oils in skin care. Cant wait to see how it turns out!

P.S.S.I am most likely not going to be selling my chapstick anymore as I use very expensive ingredients and its very time consuming. I will still be making it for my own use and family and friends. But f you want to purchase some great homemade chapstick in the jumbo tubes please go to Remedies Day Spa, they have wonderful amazing products. And I happen to really like the owner.  (and if you feel like you simply can't live without my chapstick email me and Ill give you a  nice inflated rate)
