Homemade Oreos
Every year I like to try some new cookies to go with all the normal ones we make at christmas. This year I decided to try homemade Oreos. Wow. First off let me say that I can't stand regular Oreos, but decided to try these since my kids love them. And all I can say is Wow. They are out of this world good. I think the secret lies in the butter cream filling. It is literally to die for. They will be a permanent part of the xmas cookie tradition. I knew right away I wanted to include them in the gift bags we give out for the holidays so I threw this awesome ribbon on them. Voila. Easy, fun gift. Apparently since we mostly give honey butter, caramels, and cookies as gifts, I just want to make everyone gain weight. I'm sorry in advance. They are a BIG Cookie, same circumference as the jar behind it. I wish I could share the recipe with you but since its not mine I dare not. But google homemade Oreos and Im sure you will find something! Make em.
