Fresh Soap

I promised some soap for Valentines Day and I can actually keep that promise! Soap requires so much planning ahead as it really needs to cure before I sell it. But we did it and I'm happy to present the Valentines Soap Specials!  (insert fanfare music here)

 This is a new soap mold Im trying out and I used Almond, one of my best sellers. I used a different supplier for the scent and its much stronger smelling than my previous almond. I will be going back to the other kind, this still smells lovely but it is a strong  richly scented bar of soap!

These are both pictures of the oatmeal, milk and honey soap which is always a favorite. Has stone ground oatmeal for exfoliating, goat milk,  a smidgen of honey and has a nice light scent.

The bar below is Vanilla Oak which has always been my favorite vanilla scent. Im happy to be bringing this one back for awhile!

The bar below is another special made valentines scent. Its called Crisp Apple Rose and I LOVE it. Imagine fresh spring apple blossoms and a pure rose, mixed together, and you have perfection. I love floral smells and especially rose. However I find rose by itself often smells to 'old lady' and so I love the freshness and lightness of this soap. I added lavender buds to it, just for fun and they did discolor (which I expected) but I am still pleased with the overall effect they have. This and the mint chocolate are the 2 featured Valentines scents and will probably not be back until next year this time. 

  Below we have the Mint Chocolate Chip Bar. My mom encouraged me to make this as she loves all things mint. I had a lot of fun with this one, I used real coco butter (pictured in the bowl under the soap bar) which smells amazing in itself. Coco Butter is incredibly moisturizing for your skin and handled really well in this soap. It also features finely ground  peppermint leaves throughout for exfoliating. Mint does have astringent properties so will leave you with that fresh 'tingly' feeling. And finally I added all Natural Mica to color it a chocolate brown. I am VERY happy with how this soap turned out! One of my more expensive bars to make but I think well worth it!

 Here you can see the green mint. Almost has a mossy look to it.

We decided to try some beer soap for fun and were also pleasantly surprised but this soap. It does NOT have goat milk in it, but does have oatmeal stout beer. Beer is full of hops which are very soothing to the skin and also have antibacterial qualities. Beer also provides a rich full lather and that is why this particular bar can also serve as a shampoo bar, especially for men. It has a beer like smell, I actually love the smell of this soap, but I do think its is a more manly scent. Beer also has certain amino acids which help soften the skin, this is great for men who are prone to callouses and dry skin.

Another bar that we geared towards the men. This one was prompted by my father in law, and features ground coffee in it. Coffee is great for exfoliating and for deodorizing. It naturally eliminates most odors. This bar is unscented but you can detect a slight coffee smell coming through. This soap also does not have goat milk, but we feel it will also be a hit!

And finally I made a few more balms. These speak for themselves and are a huge fan favorite. However, they are expensive and time consuming to make so I am only offering them in conjunction with the soap. Check out my Etsy store for the combos. I am only offering soap in minimum orders as its not worth my time to mail and pack one bar at a time. Shipping on all my ingredients keeps rising as does the cost of the ingredients as the soap making fad has really taken off. I don't want to raise my prices too much so I am now trying to save some of my time by enforcing a minimum order. I also will not deliver anymore, unless its over $50.  The first 5 orders will include a special gift. (not the same one as the xmas gift) Thanks!
